Vinyl plug-and-play: turntable, amp and speakers in one box
Newcomers often hesitate over a turntable setup: cartridge alignment, phono preamp, amp and speaker choices. Juke Box E1 HiFi Set bundles everything: plug in power, connect the included monitor pair, and spin records; add Bluetooth or an analog line source when you need more.
This is a different path from a standalone deck like Pro-Ject E1.2, where you can swap amp and speakers later; Juke Box E1 optimizes for convenience and one-box aesthetics. New to vinyl? See vinyl starter guide 2025 and our cartridge buying guide.

Advice on all-in-one vinyl sets for living rooms, bedrooms, or compact apartments.
1. Juke Box E1: turntable and amp in one chassis
The chassis integrates a belt-drive turntable, phono stage, Bluetooth receiver, line preamp, and power amplifier. No separate amp rack for your first step: just speakers and power.
The new-generation design includes a reworked tonearm and headshell, a 300 mm resonance-damped ABS polymer platter, damped DC motor, and electronic 33/45 speed change. An 8.6-inch aluminum arm with sapphire bearing; Damp it feet isolate vibration from the shelf and speakers. Gold-plated sockets; a high-contrast top display shows status and the active source.
2. Ortofon OM 5E: pre-installed and pre-aligned
The Ortofon OM 5E (MM) cartridge is mounted and aligned at the Pro-Ject factory: tracking force and anti-skating need no tools out of the box. A popular entry cartridge balancing detail and durability for beginners.
When you want to upgrade later, swap in another MM cartridge (within arm mass limits) and re-balance. For a deeper dive, see phono cartridge guide part 2.
3. Connectivity: Bluetooth, line in and line out
Bluetooth streams from phone or tablet through the built-in amp. 1× Line in accepts auxiliary sources (DAP, TV with analog out, etc.). When playing records, signal passes through the onboard phono stage to the speakers.
Line out (fixed, turntable signal only) lets you split vinyl playback: route to an external amp or headamp like Pro-Ject Head Box S3 B while keeping Juke Box E1 as the turntable source. Phono out sends MM-level signal if you prefer an external phono preamp.
4. Speaker Box 5 E and included cable
The set includes Speaker Box 5 E 2-way bass-reflex monitors, acoustically tuned by Pro-Ject for Juke Box E1: clear bass and open mids suited to small rooms and living spaces. A Connect it LS E Flex 3 m cable is included, long enough to place speakers on either side of a shelf or cabinet.
The 2×50 W @ 4 Ω amp has enough headroom for bookshelf monitors in typical listening spaces. Upgrade to higher-end speakers later (within impedance and power limits) and Juke Box E1 still works as the hub.
5. Design and finishes
Pro-Ject positions Juke Box E1 as a one-box solution that sounds good and looks right on a shelf: four finishes – High Gloss Black, High Gloss White, High Gloss Red, and Wood – suit modern or retro interiors. Acrylic dust cover and felt mat protect the platter; IR remote controls volume and source from a distance.
Compared with the modular Pro-Ject Colourful system (separate turntable, amp, speakers), Juke Box E1 is more compact for anyone who wants one purchase and ready to play without stacking multiple boxes.
6. Who should choose Juke Box E1 HiFi Set?
- Vinyl newcomers: fast setup, no cartridge balancing or separate amp shopping
- Small rooms / apartments: monitor speakers + integrated amp, compact footprint (see a light, airy setup reference)
- Gifts / decor: high-gloss or Wood finishes, easy on a bookshelf
- BT + vinyl users: one device for Bluetooth streaming and records
Not ideal if you want a standalone turntable to upgrade block by block (arm, motor, separate phono) or a reference system with high-end separates from day one: in that case see Pro-Ject turntable lines or Debut / X1.

FAQ
Do I need to balance the cartridge myself?
No. Ortofon OM 5E is pre-installed; tracking force and anti-skating are set at the factory. Plug in power, connect speakers, drop the needle, and play.
Can I use different speakers instead of Speaker Box 5 E?
Yes. Juke Box E1 has speaker binding posts. Pick speakers with suitable impedance and sensitivity for the 2×50 W @ 4 Ω amp; avoid hard-to-drive loads or 8 Ω-only speakers without checking amp specs.
What is line out for?
Fixed line out sends turntable signal only (after the phono stage). Use it to feed an external DAC/amp, record, or expand the system while keeping Juke Box E1 as the turntable.
Does Bluetooth match vinyl quality?
Bluetooth is handy for phone streaming but is compressed and codec-dependent. Vinyl remains the primary analog source here; BT is a supplement, not a replacement for the record experience.
How does it differ from Juke Box S2 HiFi Set?
Both are Pro-Ject Juke Box all-in-one lines. S2 is the next model in the series (specs and finish may exceed E1). Contact District M to compare what’s currently available in Vietnam.
Do I need an external phono preamp?
No when listening through speakers wired directly to Juke Box E1: the phono stage is built in. You only need an external preamp if you use Phono out into gear without MM input.
