Sound: soundstage, bass, and Dynamic Loudness

Marshall describes Stanmore IV with a wider soundstage thanks to upgraded tweeters and waveguide: more even spread in living rooms, large bedrooms, or spacious work corners. The redesigned bass port delivers deeper, cleaner bass at high volume and easier wall placement than Stanmore III.

Dynamic Loudness keeps tone balanced at low volume so bass and treble do not thin out. Fine-tune further in the Marshall app with EQ and room calibration for corner or wall placement.

With Marshall DNA, Stanmore IV still excels at rock, blues, and dense instrument mixes; podcasts and film dialogue also benefit from Gen IV tweeters and processing.

Bluetooth 5.3, Auracast, and Marshall Heddon

Stanmore IV is an Auracast™ receiver: listen to broadcasts from hub Marshall Heddon (enable setup mode on Heddon, hold M-button on Stanmore IV to join) or from Auracast-capable phones/OS via Listen to Broadcast in the Marshall app.

Codecs: SBC, AAC, LDAC, LC3 – a step up from Stanmore III (Bluetooth 5.2, no Auracast). Bluetooth multipoint makes switching between paired sources easier. Read more in our Marshall Heddon and home speaker article.

Note: Stanmore IV has no standalone Wi-Fi streaming and no microphone/voice assistant. Whole-home multi-room needs Auracast (Heddon or a broadcast source); single-room listening still uses Bluetooth/AUX/RCA.

Wired connections: AUX and RCA

Marshall specs list 3.5 mm AUX and RCA-In. Stanmore IV press materials confirm the AUX port on the top control panel; Gen IV also repositions cables/ports vs Stanmore III (RCA and power were on the rear) for easier wall placement.

• 3.5 mm AUX: TV headphone out, portable players, Bluetooth analog adapters – on the top panel.
• RCA-In: turntable (preamp/line out), CD player, stereo line source – Marshall FAQ requires a preamp for turntables; no built-in phono stage.

Note: Marshall.com does not detail exact RCA port placement on Stanmore IV; confirm on a showroom unit before running fixed RCA cabling.

Stanmore IV keeps Marshall amp DNA: vinyl wrap, salt-and-pepper fabric grille, gold logo, brass top panel with analog Volume/Bass/Treble, signature power switch, media jog, and customizable M-button. At 350 x 203 x 185 mm it suits living-room shelves or sideboards; needs a fixed mains outlet (no battery).

Designed in Sweden, made in Thailand. MDF cabinet is FSC™ 100% (wood content only). Product contains 21% recycled materials per Marshall Materials table. Vegan-friendly wrap (no real leather). Repairability: Yes with spare parts and official service. Available in Black and Cream.

Stanmore IV vs Stanmore III
